The Marni for H&M collection debuts this Thursday, making it the first of H&M’s designer collaborations to launch on a day other than Saturday (i.e. Versace and Lanvin). Besides the undisrupted weekend we can now use to wear our new Marni items, we’re not quite sure how we feel about this change of date, but at least this gives you all a chance to find excuses to call out of work or school because well, you know, you have that doctor’s appointment you so absent-mindedly forgot about.

Well, now you’re excuses are all written and planned, you can start planning which items of the collection you’re going to be pushing over a pregnant women for (just kidding). The entire line (men’s and women’s) will be sold at six H&M stores in Manhattan, all opening at 8am.

Born to Be Brad: My Life and Style, So Far (6.65, Barnes & Noble) by Brad Goreski hit book shelves today, and we are very excited!

Former Rachel Zoe assistant turn TV personality and reality star of Bravo‘s It’s a Brad, Brad World, Mr. Goreski has co-written a memoir with Mickey Rapkin and published by Harper Collins. The book will discuss everything, from the art of being Brad to his darker days – and all far and in between.(Can you believe Brad used drugs?)

Although many view this memoir to be too premature in the stylist’s career, all of us at The Aspiring Fashionista can’t wait to read it cover to cover. And, when we do, you should expect a full review.

Alexander Wang may be many things. Impeccable tailor, edgy designer, lover of black. But will “ruthless sweatshop owner” be the newest addition to this list of titles? According to New York Daily News and the New York Post, as well as countless other publications and blogs, one of Aspiring Fashionista‘s favorite designers has been accused of operating a sweatshop in a $50 million lawsuit filed in the Queens Supreme Court against Wang and his brother, Dennis.

The suit was filed by 56-year-old former employee Wenyu Lu who supposedly passed out after working 25 hours without a break. After passing out, Lu spent several days in the hospital. Upon returning to work, Lu, who had been with the company for three years, was fired after complaining about poor workplace conditions and applying for worker’s compensation, according to Lu’s lawyer.

The Post stated thirty more workers have gone on to accuse the brothers of forcing them to work 16-hour days “in a suffocating, windowless, 200-square-foot room” at the, um, office at 386 Broadway.

No comment has been made by Alexander Wang or the company, but they have pointed out to the Post that a lawsuit has not been served… yet. Leaving only one thing on our minds: Say it ain’t so, Alex.

Lady Gaga is a walking fashion statement, and when hearing about the launch of her Born This Way Foundation at Harvard University, I immediately expected an oh-and-ah-worthy moment. Needless to say, she delivered flawlessly, wearing a dress fresh off the runway of New York Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012 by one of her favorite designers, New York-based Sally LaPointe.

LaPointe’s black jersey backless hip dress looked so chic on Mother Monster, who introduced her foundation that seeks to empower the youth of all sexual orientations.

Below, see how LaPointe’s design went from runway fabulous to Gaga amazing.

For London Fashion Week Fall/Winter 2012, luxury is back in style. (And tomorrow we’ll show you our favorite looks to prove it.) But, before that, here’s Anna Wintour outside the Burberry show, talking to a reporter about the “grown-up” London Fashion Week.

Even if we weren’t huge Harry Potter fans, we’d still be head over heels for Emma Watson‘s style. We were thrilled about Emma’s first Lancome ads way back when, so of course we’re excited about these new images. Who else could make lounging around in bed without pants look so innocent and sweet?

By the way, the Mario Testino-shot campaign is for Lancome‘s Rouge in Love lipstick campaign. Sign us up for that pink pout!
